Cape Town - South African mountain biker Stefan Garlicki is on the long road to recovery after a horror crash saw him hospitalised in Germany.
Garlicki, 27, went down heavily during his seeding run at the iXS Downhill Cup in Ilmenau late last month and broke his femur/hip and suffered a bruised lung.
On Tuesday, his 10th day in hospital, Garlicki tweeted that he was "mobile and can use crutches to get around" and thanks everyone for their "messages and support".
We wish @StefanGarlicki a speedy recovery after his hectic crash at Ilmenau.
