Jungels wins 1st stage of Tour of Oman

AL-Bustan - Luxembourg's Bob Jungels, riding for the Etixx team, won the first stage of the Tour of Oman on Tuesday, a 145km run between the Oman Exhibition Centre and Al Bustan.

Jungels clocked 3hr 37min 33sec to take the leader's red jersey, 10sec ahead of Dimension Data's Belgian rider Serge Pauwels, with France's Romain Bardet of La Mondiale a further 4sec adrift in third.

The Tour's second stage is a 162km ride between Omantel Head Office and Quriyat.
