Sport4Good Team Q&A Part 1

Cape Town - In the first of our Q&A sessions with one of the riders on the Sport4Good Cycling Team, we chat to Greg McDavid.

WIN a place in the Sport4Good Cycle Team

We are asking all the other team members to answer the same questions and you will be surprised at how many of the guys prefer shaved legs.

Q. Have you ever done the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour before?
A. Once…. The first year they “detoured”… wasn’t such a cool ride.

Q. What is your biggest fear for this year’s race?

A. I’ve got a borked knee… hoping it survives!

Q. Have you started training yet?
A. Yes

Q. What has your training so far involved?
A. I’ve been cycling around Reitvlei… but need to up it now!

Q. Do you believe in carbo loading?

A. Absolutely… got me through 3 Two Oceans Ultra’s and 2 and a half Comrades (see borked knee)

Q. Have you ever sat in a coffee shop with your helmet still on after a training ride?
A. NEVER…. Death to the prawn!

Q. Lycra or mountain bike shorts?
A. Lycra. Mountain bike shorts are cool, but impractical.

Q. Shaved or unshaved (legs for the race that is)
A. Shaved…. Maybe waxed if I’m feeling brave/stupid.

Q. Bobby Skinstad or Robbie Fleck?
A. Bob, but only cos he showed me how to pour the perfect Guinness

Q. Back to work on the Monday after the race or pull a sickie?
A. To work.

Stay tuned for our next Q&A session with one of the Sport4Good team members.
