Cape Town - His participation at the 2018 Commonwealth Games has come to an end, and now Chad le Clos can enjoy Australia's Gold Coast.
Le Clos finished with five medals - three gold, one silver, one bronze - in the pool, taking his total Commonwealth Games medal tally to 17.
That makes Le Clos the most decorated swimmer in Commonwealth Games history and he needs just one more medal to equal the record of 18 currently jointly-held by shooters, England's Mick Gault and Australian Philip Adams.
Le Clos will have to wait until Birmingham 2022 to achieve that, but for the time being he has earned himself a moment to relax.
The 25-year-old Le Clos was pictured on the beach in Queensland on Wednesday morning going for a surf lesson with Australian great Mick Fanning.
Fanning was the man who was attacked by a shark in Jeffreys Bay in 2015 and has since retired from professional surfing, but he was back in the water giving Le Clos a few tips.
Le Clos was joined by Australian Paralympic alpine skier Jessica Gallacher and track cyclist Anna Meares.
Born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, Le Clos is no stranger to sun and surf and we're sure he held his own!
