The trio of Bobby Donnelly, Pierre Breitenbach and Prince Neluonde defeated Northern Ireland 19-10.

The South African bowlers were in great form as they led 11-3 after nine ends and 16-10 on the 15th end of the 18 ends played.

Wales defeated Australia 16-12 in the bronze medal clash.

The medal added to the win by South Africa's women in the fours and the visually impaired mixed pairs B2/B3, while Colleen Piketh took bronze in the singles.

At the 2010 Delhi Games, the South African bowlers won three gold medals.
