Last chance to enter awards

Cape Town - There is now less than a week to go until the deadline for entries into the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards 2012 – the second of its kind celebrating the best in the South African sport market, from sponsorship, PR, marketing and new media, to publishing, advertising and design.

The deadline for entries is Monday 19th September and any organisation wishing to put forward their work for consideration can download the submission form online from the Awards’ section of this website.

Entries to the Awards are still open across 11 categories and will recognise and reward the best the South African sport business has to offer across marketing, PR, sponsorship, media, advertising and design.

As was the case with the first year, the Awards’ judging panel, led by former Springbok captain Bob Skinstad, are again expecting an impressive standard of entries in the event’s second year.

Presented in front of a star-studded audience of all the key stakeholders in South African sport, the winners will be unveiled at the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards ceremony, taking place on 23rd February 2012 - in the City of Ekurhuleni -hosted by Official Venue Partner, Emperors Palace.

In February of this year, the inaugural winners of the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards 2011 were unveiled in front of close to 1,000 high-profile South African sport industry executives and sporting celebrities and next year’s ceremony promises to be even bigger.
