Chiefs, Pirates fans cash in

Johannesburg - One lucky soccer fan of Kaizer Chiefs and another from Orlando Pirates will each win R1 million during the inaugural Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday.

The two supporters will win R500 000 each outright, and then R500 000 each will be donated to a charity of their choice.

The announcement was made jointly by bosses of the two clubs, Chiefs boss Kaizer Motaung, and Irvin Khoza, chairman of Pirates.

Over 10 million entries were received in this tournament – giving supporters a unique opportunity to select the players they want to take the field, and also be the coach at Soccer City.

Khoza said: ‘The response we have been receiving from the fans has been overwhelming. We are giving back the R2 million to the fans’.

The game kicks off at 3pm, Saturday.

* Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates players and officials will gather at SuperSport’s state-of-the-art High Definition Studio 6 in Randburg on Thursday for the official starting eleven team announcement of the inaugural Carling Black Label Cup.
