Carla the woman to beat!

Cape Town - Carla van Huyssteen is the defending Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival Big 5 Challenge champion.

In 2013 she beat Marilyn Fischer and Candice Davison to the top step of the podium. This week on Tri Talk SA, Brad Brown caught up with Carla about this year’s event.

Carla spoke about the introduction this year of the choice on day two between the Momentum Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna Cycle Tour 100km road race, Knysna Lagoon Challenge 22km paddle race or the Knysna Dragons Lagoon mile Swim and how that will influence the tactics of the elite athletes racing for line honours.

Carla also gave Brad some advice around tackling the Salomon Featherbed Coelacanth 14km trail run, which will be his first trail run race!
