Tau’s Tips for the World Cup

accreditation

Cape Town - The Soccer World Cup 2018 is in full swing and Jimmy Tau came within a whisker of landing a 27/1 banger in his first round of tips earlier this week.

Tau is back in action with his ‘Tau’s Tips’ for the next four days. And he’s determined to go one better and bring home some winners this time around.

Here are Jimmy’s selections:

Tau’s Friday Tip

Brazil x Draw (Nigeria v Iceland) x Serbia | Was 8.06 | Now 10.00

Fans of Argentina will be hoping that Jimmy is on song here as a draw with Nigeria would keep their qualification hopes alive despite their early troubles. Brazil are short-priced favourites to beat Costa Rica while the game between Serbia and Switzerland sees Serbia go in as narrow favourites. Two favourites and the draw adds up to an enticing 10/1 call.

Tau’s Saturday Tip

Belgium x Republic of Korea x Germany | Was 9.23 | Now 12.00

The big call here is definitely the Republic of Korea to beat Mexico. Paired with Belgium to beat Tunisia and Germany to triumph over Sweden and you’ve got a tasty little 12/1 tip.

Tau’s Sunday Tip

England x Japan x Draw (Poland v Colombia) | Was 11.47 | Now 15.00

Jimmy has opted for England to beat Panama and Japan to beat Senegal. Throw in a draw between the unimpressive Poland and Columbia to get a 15/1 boost.

Tau’s Monday Tip

Draw (Uruguay v Russia) x Draw (Saudi Arabia v Egypt) x Spain x Portugal | Was 19.83 | Now 24.00

Two draws and two favourites adds up to a whopping 24/1. With Russia and Uruguay already through, a draw might indeed be the call while Saudi Arabia and Egypt could play out a dull draw. Spain and Portugal will be looking to smack in the goals to claim top spot in their pool.
