Bookies: Odds on a low-key return for Tiger
Cape Town - The wait is over!
Former world No 1 Tiger Woods will make his return on Thursday at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.
The low-key event - there are only 18 golfers in the field - is the perfect tune-up for golf's once dominant force who has now slipped to 1 199th in the world rankings.
The tournament will be the first start for Woods since he withdrew from the Dubai Desert
Classic in February this year.
Since then it's been a case of operations, arrests for driving under the influence and recovery for the nearly 42-year-old.
Woods, who says he is "loving life" since being pain-free, has won 14 Majors in his career, although the last came back in 2008.
Leading South African bookmakers BET.co.za has installed Woods as joint second last favourite this week at odds of 31/1.
In other "special" Tiger Woods bets, he's 13/20 to hit the fairway with his opening tee shot and 2/1 to play all 72 holes at the Albany Golf Club (and 33/100 to withdraw from the tournament).
Woods will tee off alongside compatriot Justin Thomas in Round 1 at 19:05 SA time on Thursday.
