Cape Town - South Africa's Stephen Mokoka successfully defended his title on Saturday, while Lesotho's Mamorallo Tjoka won the women's 21.1km crown at the Nelson Mandela Bay ASA Half Marathon Championships in Port Elizabeth.
Mokoka, representing Athletics Gauteng North, won a fast men's race in 1:01:44, edging out Benard Bil by two seconds.
Linus Ruto, finished third, another two seconds back.
Elroy Gelant (1:01:48) of Athletics Central North West and Gladwin Mzazi (1:01:49) of Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Foreign athletes dominated the women's race, with Mamorallo Tjoka of Lesotho taking the win in 1:10:46, five seconds ahead of her nearest opponent, Namibia's Helalia Johannes (1:10:51).
Kenyan Susy Chemaimak was third in 1:12:32.
