Cape Town - South African sprinter, Carina Horn, has broken the women's national 100m record at the SA Championship at Tuks in Pretoria.
Horn, who ran a time of 11.03 in a 100m semi-final heat, shaved 0.03 seconds off the record that she had held with Evette de Klerk.
Previously, Horn had run 11.06 in Madrid in 2015 while De Klerk's time was run in 1990.
The final of the women's 100m is set for Friday evening (19:50), Horn has every chance of bettering the mark once again.
