Caster tweets 'brave' message as hearing continues

Cape Town - South Africa's golden girl Caster Semenya remained defiant during her ongoing gender court hearing against the IAAF in Switzerland.

Semenya is appealing a decision from the IAAF at the Court for Arbitration of Sport (CAS) this week.

The proposed IAAF ruling would see Semenya forced to lower her testosterone levels in order to promote what it says will be "fairer competition between all female athletes".

Semenya took to Twitter on Thursday by posting a inspirational quote saying, "Be fearless, be brave, be bold, love yourself."

Various TV and radio stations, actors, actresses, media and sports personalities plus politicians including the President Cyril Ramaphosa and sports federations, have expressed undying support for ASA's joint challenge with Semenya.

The hearing began on Monday and is scheduled to wrap up on Friday, with a final ruling expected around March 29, 2019.
