Wayde van Niekerk is getting married!

Cape Town - Olympic 400m gold medal winner and world record holder, Wayde van Niekerk, has proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Chesney Campbell.

The sprinter took to Instagram to confirm that he is officially engaged with a video and text stating,"She said yes".

Van Niekerk and Campbell have been spending the festive season in the United Kingdom as the 25-year-old got to watch his favourite soccer club, Liverpool, live in action.
