Cape Town - South Africa's Wenda Nel has missed out on a medal in the women's 400m hurdles at the IAAF World Championship in Beijing.
Running in Lane 8, Nel finished seventh in a time of 54.94.
The race was won by Zuzana Hejnová of the Czech Republic in 53.50 with American duo Shamier Little (53.94) and Cassandra Tate (54.02) finishing second and third, respectively.
