CRICKET

Zimbabwe 4-day Boxing Day Test

South Africa will take part in the first-ever shortened Test match when they host Zimbabwe in a Boxing Day Test in Port Elizabeth, which could see the return of Proteas stalwarts AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn.

The first day of the 4-day Day/Night Test at St. George's Park gets under way at 14:00.

India tour to SA

After the Zimbabwe one-off Test, the Proteas turn their attention to India for three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is in January and February 2018.

It's the series all cricket fans have been waiting for, as world Nos 1 and 2 battle it out with the first Test starting at Newlands on January 5 (10:00).

GOLF

It's the 107th South African Open!

The second oldest national Open is co-sanctioned by the Sunshine Tour and the European Tour and will feature one of its strongest local challenges in recent years as South Africa's top professionals seek to return the title to home soil.

The tournament runs from January 11-14 at Glendower Golf Club.
