Cape Town - Baseball fans could in future be able to see total 360-degree views of tough-to-call moments, the GIZMODO website reports.
A company called Replay Technologies is working on a Free Dimensional Video (freeD) which will make watching sports more interactive for fans.
The 3D reconstructions enable accurate measurement of position, speed and velocity so all of the bases are pretty much covered. The Free Dimensional Video uses a combination of static and dynamic replay options for maximum insight from every angle.
Replay Technologies are in a pilot phase at present, as can be depicted in this video featuring a number of Major League Baseball (MLB) teams.
