3 sporting events to watch this festive weekend

Cape Town - Happy Holidays!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these THREE events (in no particular order)!

1. EL CLASICO

It's always an interesting battle when Real Madrid and Barcelona meet. It's Messi versus Ronaldo or Catalonia versus the rest of Spain.

This is a must-win game for Madrid, while the game will give Barcelona the chance to tombstone Real's chances of retaining their league title.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 14:00 SA time.

2. ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP

The English Premiership is here to keep us entertained throughout this festive and long weekend.

We start off with a bang as Arsenal look to secure the top four spot by edging a determined Liverpool on Friday (21:45 SA time).

On Saturday, the action continues as the rising Everton take on the reigning champions Chelsea (14:30 SA time), Burnley host Tottenham Hotspur (19:30 SA time) and then Leicester City battle a firing Manchester United (21:45 SA time).

On Boxing Day, Jose Mourinho's United play host to Burnley (17:00 SA time) and we cap off the long weekend (only for those returning to work on Wednesday!) with Liverpool taking on Swansea City (19:30 SA time).
