Why the Boks need Bulls

please take your black&white blinkers off when looking at the team that I think is currently the best in SA. I know that you might think that there are too many Bulls in this squad but please mention who else you would rather have in this team given the amount of injuries the most SA teams have at stage of the competition.

Let me discuss my Bulls selections and then let us see if you differ...

Marcell vd Merwe - Since playing more regularly he is getting back the form which made the Bulls sign him from the FS, that being said, Jannie is not playing the world on fire AND lately the Sharks suffered a bit in the scrums.

Lock pairing - Currently which other locks would you prefer in the starting lineup given AGAIN all the injuries? And if you look at Vic's stats it is better if not the best of the locks in the whole competition bar Sam Whitelock if I am not mistaken.

I don't have to write about 9 and 10 because that speaks for itself, or should I ask - who would you prefer? Sarel Pretoruis of the FS is doing good but F Hougaard can actually cover wing as well and he is way faster than speedcop Pienaaar.

JJ - I know that you may prefer Jacques Fourie but JF was terribly slow last year when he played for the Boks and that loss in speed cost the Boks on their attacking edge.

Dean Greyling - lately the Bulls scrum impressed me with DG playing very decent while the Sharks with an all Bok front row struggled notably.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
