Why KP had to go!

Cricket is a team sport, the very toughest of all games known to man, and unless the players foremostly play for each other, there is no 'team', and therefore no game. There is no place for egos, as England found out to their pitiful demise down under. Trott had had enough of team management pussy-footing around him, and simply upped and left mid tour, and unheard of situation. And if we weren't sure of his reasons, Swannie confirmed them for us, soon after. England utterly demolished Oz in the home series and landed as firm favourites to repeat the rout this time round. So what happened, do you think? Kevin Petersen happened, that's what. No doubt Andy Flower, one of England's most successful contemporary coaches has paid the price for not keeping him in check, but I think had the coach his absolute say in the makeup of the tour party in the first instance, perhaps we wouldn't be having this conversation. In the end, the fact that after being the most expensive player ever, he now can't even get a free IPL contract, says it all. KP for the Proteas? It ain't gonna happen, even if he had three work visas!
