Dumbest play of the year?

2014-12-05 10:42

Francois Hougaard's schoolboy error in the Springboks final tour match against Wales must surely go down as one of the dumbest plays of the year. Hougaard took a quick tap from a penalty, only to boot out the ball into touch, giving the ball back to Wales. FAIL.

White card is a good idea, they should also make the yellow and red card pending investigation after the game for future game bans and not the game currently being played, yellow and red card penilises the whole team and country for one individual' mistake.

If a player say punches someone gets a pending yellow or red and he does it again they can send him off the field and replace him with one of the replacements, so that the game is not just given to the other team because of one players offence.

Just think of the bismarck incident where we could have taken no1 from the all blacks and have a historic win in Christcurch. We could have won if the white card system was in place and or the pending yellow/Red. This is very crucial to the intyegrity of the game where a ref's bad dicision hands the game over to the other team in an instant.

Please kaplan look into this as well(pending yellow/red bans done done after the match)
