Jet flies over Ellis Park

2013-10-07 09:31

Watch the Jet flying over Ellis Park prior to the Boks-All Blacks game.

1. Solid manful defence by every player on the field showing their commitment to the jersey.
2. Worldclass 15 and 10 needed dearly to improve decisionmaking, line speed on attack and counter attacking after receiving the high ball at speed.
3. Never ever play Ruan Pienaar ever again! Never again!
4. Learn to catch a high ball.
5. Every players all round skills need to improve. AB's forwards can pass and run and sidestep like centres. AB's backline players can ruck and fetch and wrestle to the ground like a forward and a flanker. We don't have these cross over ability as the situation requires. One example, ball gets cold at nr 8's feed when inphase 5+ if there isnt a 9 around or a bryan habana around to step in the pass the ball down the line. They wait. In the mean time the AB's are back in defensive positions and ready for us. Too slow.
6. Learn to play the rules as it is reffed and interpreted  on the field by the ref and adapt. If the ref allows diving into rucks off the feet and coming in from the side, interffering with a Jumper in the air in lineouts, and general offside spoiling play, why do we then not do the same? Otherwise, if we keep playing to the rules in the book, we are playing with a handicap, self induced.
7. Get MUCH fitter and play for 80 minutes plus, not for 50 or 60 minutes. The AB's give 80 minutes EVERY time they play.
8. Like the AB's get discrimination and quotas and politics out of the sport. The BEST player, irrespective of his race, should be on the field.
9. Tactical kicking and linout kicks for field position can improve a lot.
10. Learn to hold on to the ball.
11. Learn the million things that can be done with a ball in hand before kicking it away.
12. Learn to play as a unit, think like a team.
