What is Cullinan smoking?
There is no way that Tsolekile is better than de Kock either with bat or gloves.
De Kock played well against India and made some decent scores.
I agree that AB should be replaced as ‘keeper, to be replaced by de Kock, only because I think that batting at 4 does not leave him much time to collect his thoughts and allowing enough time to relax after keeping all the time. Certainly not the way our ‘top’ batsmen are batting lately. Perhaps de Kock and Amla should open the batting?
Steyn is a very different type of bowler to Johnson and should not be compared to him.
Morkel is a similar type of bowler to Johnson with his height, aggression and speed. So yes, give him the new ball with Philander.
Petersen is not a test player either batting or bowling. He is not consistent enough. He comes off now and again, and then he is in the team forever.
Whilst I think that our batsmen have improved playing spin, we still don’t have even an ‘average’ spin bowler good enough for the test arena. Use the part-timers just to save some time and use up overs. If they are taken to the cleaners, it is no different to what happens to our full time spinners.
I have my doubts about Parnell and Albie Morkel being in the team.
cheers
