The best team has no colour

On national and international level it shouldn’t be about “numbers” or colour. It should be about the best players. If the whole cricket team is black, white, green or made up entirely of Martians with South African citizenship, it shouldn’t be an issue if they are the best possible players. This goes for all sporting codes. The lack of white players in the national soccer team is for a good reason. It’s because those that were chosen happen to be black and they also happen to be the best for the job at hand. The powers-that-be are happy with the medal-count at the Olympics, irrespective of the colour of the athlete. So it should be with all SA’s sport teams and international achievements. The best of the best, for the best. It’s not rocket science!
Gerald, Ermelo.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
