Steyn back in Bok graces

Cape Town - Springbok and Bulls flyhalf Morne Steyn's dominant form in Super Rugby has restored the public's faith in him.

Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer named four flyhalves in his most recent Springbok squad, namely Morne Steyn, Patrick Lambie, Demetri Catrakilis and Elton Jantjies, while Springbok hopeful Johan Goosen was unavailable for selection due to injury.

Steyn, who is currently joint top-scorer on the Super Rugby table with 163 points, has enjoyed a brilliant return to form in this year's competition after a forgettable 2012 season in which he fell out of favour with fans - and fell behind Patrick Lambie in the Springbok pecking-order.

Meanwhile according to Sport24's online poll, most Sport24 readers now believe Steyn is again the front-runner to wear the Springbok No 10 jersey during the Incoming Series in mid-year.

Almost six out of every 10 Sport24 readers believe Steyn is the overwhelming favourite, while the incumbent, Lambie, was a distant second.

Only 11% believed there were other strong contenders for the position.

Sport24 asked: "One game can make all the difference... who do you think will emerge from the Sharks-Bulls game as the leading contender for Bok flyhalf?"

These were the results:

58% - Morne Steyn
31% - Patrick Lambie
11% - Neither of them
