Meyer still under fire

Cape Town - Despite succumbing to public pressure by picking Patrick Lambie and Juan de Jongh, a majority of Sport24 readers were still unhappy with the Springbok team.

Here's what Sport24 readers had to say about the Springbok team to play Scotland:

"The Bok coach doesn't select on merit, that has been proven time and time again." - taetjo.mathabatha

"Zane, Morne, WTF. Still no Jantjies in match 23 and Mvovo in starting 15 and Taute at 15." - jacques.duplessis.566148

"Coach needs to be Bolder and select x-factor players, not SAFE bets."
- sean.tearnan

"This persistance by HM with Kirchner/Hougaard/Steyn is getting out of hand now." -  PHD

"I seriously dont't understand the logic behind omitting Elton Jantjies out of match-day 23! The coach is making very questionable decisions."
- elliot.gxolo.1

"Mvovo should have started ahead of Hougaard, Taute at fullback and Elton on the bench in place of Steyn!"
- Chris

"Again HM picks Steyn for the bench...I rest my case, the coach is CLUELESS."
- Lyle.Jeffery.7

"HM your hand was forced, because then Taute would have started at fullback and Mvovo on wing." - riaan.swarts.35

"I'm scared that the coach has no clue. Every time he makes a change it's because of media." - Paul.Ramcwana

"Typical Meyer. When forced by pressure from the media and the public to change his team - a la Lambie and now De Jongh - he says it has always been part of his plan to do so. If it had not been for the press and public outcries, Morne Steyn would still have been at number 10."
- eddie.botha.3

"I seriously doubt that HM reads all the nonsense on this forum. And that he considers all the experts opinions on team selections. After all he isn't the Springbok coach and he doesn't know how his players perform, he expects the media and supporters to tell him how to do his job." - andre.botha.988

"Heyneke doesn't have the luxury to experiment like that because the South African supporters are too short-sighted and put immense pressure on him to deliver perfect results every game from the start. Therefore he has too keep continuity in his selections to try and secure the wins before all else." - Adriaan.Oliver.899

"It does not matter who the coach picks, you guys will always moan. Just support them!" - Piksteel
