Meyer is too stubborn

Although it is still early in his Springbok coaching career, the biggest problem Meyer has is that he has not always chosen the best players for the team. The average South African is very passionate about their rugby, knows their rugby extremely well and has a strong opinion when it comes to team selection. There will always be bias towards certain players, but when you leave out a player like Heirich Brussouw who in my opinion over the last 2 years was the key factor in us winning a few games, you ask the coach, "do you know what the hell you are doing". I was always a big Heyneke fan, but his stubbornness is really starting to upset me. Although he is still unbeaten, I don't have much confidence in him for the long term, but I suppose that time will tell.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
