Cape Town - Sport24 readers still believe that Patrick Lambie has the inside track to start as the Springbok flyhalf against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 16:30 SA time.

In an online poll Sport24 asked the following question:

Who should play at flyhalf for the Springboks against Scotland?

These were the results:

81% - Patrick Lambie: He needs the benefit of an extended run at 10
19% - Elton Jantjies: The only in-form 10 not to get a start deserves his shot
0% - Morne Steyn: He needed a rest and will be back to his best

Here's what Sport24 readers had to say about choosing the Springbok flyhalf for the Scotland Test at Murrayfield on Saturday:

"Lambie all the way best number 10 in SA by a long way!"
- graham.joyce

"Pat is the best flyhalf SA has seen in a while."
- clinton.brabant

"Morne steyn had countless chances at flyhalf this year after showing that he was useless at flyhalf game after game. Lambie must be given at least 4 games at no.10. One scrappy game does not determine anything."
- Kimson Kimodod Chan

"You have to give Lambie a chance to settle. You cannot expect any player to come in and excel when the team is not gelling. I really hope his willing to give Lambie time to prove himself."
- TG

"Lambie, you had your chance and failed with flying colours."
- jacque.duplessis.3785

"Lambie has proven like Steyn, they don't have the ability to RISE to the next level."
- peter.boettger

"I believe that Johan Goosen should be the man starting at 10 when he's fit, and Lambie starting at 15."
- Blake.Brody.5

"MAYBE Goosen will be better than Lambie when he comes back. Right now Lambie is the only solid, mercurial, flyhalf that this country has."
- denese.newby
"Simple, Pat first choice flyhalf with Elton providing back-up. You could always play Lambie at fullback and Elton at flyhalf but Lambie is a better 10 than a 15."
- andrew.gordon.505523

"Lambie played well enough but should try to improve his long range kicking skills, then he will be the complete flyhalf."
- deon.louw7505

"You had better hope HM doesn't suddenly start being consistent and fair, Pat old boy, otherwise you'll get exactly the sort of chance Elton Jantjies got. But don't worry, HM will only rotate you and Morne Steyn, and that doesn't exactly put you under pressure, does it?"
  - cilliers.vanniekerk.1

"HM must give Janties a chance to show us what he can do."
- Litha Thando Yono Ka-Zola

"Jantjies faded really badly in the last few pressure games of the Currie Cup." - TG

"Strange how Lambie can ask for more time but after Elton had to steer the ship against the world's best he only had half the chance and Morne Steyn had an atrocious season but still makes the team." - laughton.martin

"Elton was dealt a poor hand not even being on the bench, but I think the choice of Lambie was the right one." - TravieGrif

"Pat is a good solid player, but he is not the best No.10. He lacks the creativity that Jantjies has."
- Lyle Jeffrey

"A good player but not a specialist flyhalf. Elton, Goosen and Steyn should fight it out for the flyhalf spot."
- Niko.Eksteen.7
