Good bunch of players!

Firstly – is the game against the WORLD XV recognized by IRB as an official test?  If not, no Bok stalwarts should be taking part in that game.

The group selected by coach Meyer is fine, taking into account that the foreign players cannot make the training camp at this stage.  However, it is going to give the Springboks a headache if Morne Steyn & Pat Lambie will not be able to take to the field one day, as the depth in flyhalf does not look good at all.  Furthermore, there are two other positions where we as South Africans are lacking seriously behind – tighthead prop, because Dr. Jannie is just not up to scratch & Coenie should have been left at loosehead instead, & fullback - Willie le Roux is an exciting player, but come play-off time during a World Cup tournament, you want a Andre Joubert / Percy Montgomery that is save under the high ball and has a good kicking game, which Willie doesn’t has.
