Fans sad to see Treu go

Cape Town - Sport24 readers say they will miss former Blitzbokke coach Paul Treu after he parted ways with the Springbok Sevens team.

The SA Rugby Union (SARU) thanked Paul Treu for his services to Springbok Sevens rugby on Tuesday and paid tribute to the contribution he had made to developing the seven-a-side game in the country.

SARU president, Oregan Hoskins, confirmed that after discussions with both Treu, players and other Sevens stakeholders, a mutual decision had been reached to seek a new head coach for the Springbok Sevens team.

But Sport24 readers felt that the loss of Treu was a huge blow to the Springbok Sevens team and SA rugby, and were eager to find out who his replacement would be.
