Cape Town - Sport24 readers have showered Bafana Bafana with praise after the team defeated world and European champions Spain.

Bernard Parker's clinical second half finish handed Bafana Bafana a shock 1-0 victory over Spain in their friendly at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

Virtually all of Sport24's Facebook 'likers' forecast a loss for Bafana, with most readers predicting a loss by an embarrassing margin.

But most were willing to concede they were wrong after Bafana's breathtaking display and were keen to show the team the proper respect.
