Fans back Boks to boss Oz

Cape Town - The vast majority of Sport24 readers have expressed their confidence in a Springbok victory against the Wallabies at Newlands in Cape Town on Saturday.

The clash kicks off at 17:00.

The Wallabies have endured a torrid season so far, losing the series against the British and Irish Lions, before suffering humiliating home defeats to the Springboks in Brisbane and to the All Blacks in Sydney, as well as a big away loss against the All Blacks in Wellington.

Before they scraped out a narrow home victory against Argentina in Perth, the Wallabies were on a run of five consecutive losses.

The Springboks on the other hand, have only lost once in their past 10 matches: the away match against the All Blacks in Auckland where they were defeated under controversial circumstances after Bismarck du Plessis was sent-off.

All these factors have bolstered the confidence of Springbok fans, who seem to believe victory against the Wallabies this weekend a mere formality...

Sport24 asked:

"It's Rugby Championship week! Who is going to win Saturday's BIG clash at Newlands?"

These were the results:

88% - Springboks all the way!
7% - Wallabies to shock the hosts
5% - Too close to call. Waiting for the team announcements
