Cape Town - Sport24 readers have expressed their disappointment with Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane after he was dropped from the squad for indiscipline.

Nyakane, 24, was on Sunday axed from the Bok squad for disciplinary reasons, with official word from the Bok camp suggesting he "repeatedly breached team protocol", by missing flights and a video session.

Coach Heyneke Meyer said the talented Nyakane would come back into consideration if he improves his discipline and commitment.

Reports also alleged that the Cheetahs prop was unfit, and that his excessive eating had also become a big concern for the Bok coaching staff.

This is what Sport24 readers had to say about Nyakane.

"Trevor is a good prop he just needs to learn discipline."
- Sihle Zondie

"Axe him from the Bok team until he has learned some discipline and responsibility..." - Johnny Johnson

"Come on Trevor! Don't you have any respect for the jersey and your team mates? But in your defense...what's the issue with you eating too much? I say let the man eat! He's a prop for goodness sake! Remember Ollie Le Roux? He was as big as they come and everyone knows he loved his food! Did anyone complain about him? No! Why not? Cos he was as strong as an ox in the scrum!" - Neil Kruger

"An opportunity some only dream of. Trevor must honesty catch a wake-up call. This is not how you represent your country. Trevor, youngsters are looking up to you. Don't fail them."
- Jamba

"The oke will bounce back!"
- Gary Doyle

"This just doesn't make sense to me. How does a bloke with 2 Test caps be so flippant about being a part of a Bok setup?"
- Lundi Mdingi

"Really rate the guy highly. I hope he steps up because he has a very bright future."
- Janine N Craig West

"I think we all make mistakes in our lives and Trevor must just stay positive."
- Dumisani Rikhotso

"Same problems in Bafana. Lack of commitment. Drop him. Bokke is for elite players."
- Graeme Blignaut

"Agreed! Springboks are the elite , best of the best. They should act accordingly. Eyes of our youth are on them. But i have a feeling Nyakane will learn from this and return better than before!"
- Jacques Shrecky Stander

"If Nyakane can't control himself then he is not fit to be part of the Bok setup."
- Israel Levi

"Big up to the Bok coach for such decision...My Advice to Nyakane: Don't let fame get to you my brother, you are going to be history before we even know you...You are letting us down, brother." - Joe Todani
