Equal pay for Paralympians!

Yes! Yes!     The paralympic athletes deserve the same payouts – they represented South Africa – and earned their medals as the competition was tougher this year than previous paralympics, irrespective of how many athletes entered for an event.  Their preparation for the games also tougher on them, it cannot be easy for them to get around and to get to practice venues.   Countries have woken up and realised the benefit of the entire world watching their athletes competing,  placing the different countries in the limelight as well.   Wish I could be in JHB Thursday morning to welcome them!

Could I also use this platform please to plead with our athletic bosses to stick to our sporting colours,  ie green with just a touch of gold.    Even the commentators mentioned the fact that it was very difficult to tell South African and Australian competitors apart.
