Don't rush Quinny!

De Kock has been absolutely brilliant in the limited overs formats but we should still be mindful of expecting too much too soon from him. The Test team is settled as it is, admittedly there are one or two batsmen who have struggled of late but that is normal for any cricket side.

Herschelle Gibbs started out at an early age and later on he himself admitted that perhaps he was thrown in at the deep end before he was fully comfortable with his game. AB De Villiers is another player who had his struggles after being selected as a youngster in the Test team.

Lets all enjoy De Kock’s ODI exploits for now and I’m sure we’ll see him featuring in the longer version at a later stage.
