Do Kock for the Proteas!

Quinton de Kock (Gallo Images)
de Kock hasn't proved his ability to build a decent test score? Who, apart from de Villiers, did so in the last test? Smith? Amla? Give de Kock an opportunity! He showed in the short version of the game just what he can do. He has guts and determination chatacteristics which were woefully lacking in the rest of the team. We just don't have reliable openers at the moment; de Kock could just be the man we want for that. At least then, when Smith goes out for his usual pathetic score, de Kock will have a wondefrul opportunity to show what he can do. Tsolekile may be the best glove man in SA now; with the utterly fragile batting line - up of the current Proteas, though, we need somebody who has proved his ability with the bat, as de Kock has done so peerlessly. Can the team really afford a specialist wicky???Give them depth in batting andd thereby take some of the pressure off the bowlers. I wonder how the bowlers felt after Smith (oops, that name again......) chose to field and, in so doing, put the batters under huge pressure when their turn came. The batting is fragile; for goodness' sake, give it a boost!
