I said it last weekend, and I’ll say it again: Marnitz Boshoff is a match winner.
Another kicking display - full of all the superlatives found in a five-star buffet - by Marnitz Boshoff, has sunk yet another SA franchise in front of 39 000 fans at Ellis Park.
The result has cemented the Lions’ promising early season form.
For Stormer’s fans, this is a whipping of note.
A lot has been said about the whole Lions/Kings saga, but this little rich vein of form by the Joburg franchise will vindicate and give lots of Lions fans plenty to cheer about.
The Stormers looked clueless, unfit and were never in it..
But the Lions are a different team – and when I say ‘team”, these guys are playing for each other. As Francois Pienaar once said, “Teamwork makes dream work.”
Of course, it helps having a classy flyhalf like Marnitz Boshoff running the show. He’s just scored 29 points for heaven’s sake!
Well done Lions, you just hammered my team – and you deserve it!
Expect more Lions fans to come out of the closet. Hey, we might even start seeing Lion Lager at your local.
