Bok fans want to see Kolisi

Cape Town - Sport24 readers say Siya Kolisi deserves to be given a start for the Boks after his man-of-the-match performance against Scotland.

Stormers loose forward Kolisi, one day before his 22nd birthday, came on as a replacement for the injured Arno Botha in the fifth minute of the match and put in a man-of-the-match performance in his debut in a Springbok jersey, as the Boks rallied to beat Scotland 30-17 in Nelspruit.

Here's what Sport24 readers had to say about Kolisi's performance:

"Great performance. You humbled me, young man." - Harold Lloyd

"Kolisi stepped up today. He needs to be supported by forwards who can explode the break-down and dominate the collision. Currently, he stands out among a string of second-raters."
- Jan Bull

"Yes, but now I can imagine the coach will be forced to relook his loose trio. He has to look at another combination that includes Kolisi."
- Shamiel Matthews

"Kolisi played very well. His critics had to eat their words. Great stuff Siya."
- Barney Klaasin

"Nice Siya and happy b-day."
- Kaape Grappies

"Give the players of colour opportunities!"
- William Booysen

"Siya is a good player, but the coach needs to give him more game time." - Fanuel Mataruse

"Strongest link. He used his opportunity and shown his stability. Well done, Kolisi!"
- Jamba

"Well done Siya and the young guns!" - Ivor Crabbia

"Siya is world class!" - Adrian Cloete

"Siya was amazing!" - Siya Dlulane

"Kolisi was very inspiring in all aspects after coming on, deserves a start against Samoa." - Gary Doyle

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
