Blitzbokke's sevens fairytale

If there is one thing that South Africans do well, its fairytale sporting endings.

And just when the nation needed a much-needed boost, the South African Sevens team provided their own fairytale, drawing on the Madiba Magic in stadium that bears his name to beat World Champions New Zealand 17-14 to win the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens on Sunday.

On a weekend where the whole of the country has swung in emotion, the Blitzbokke – the most transformed rugby team in the country – drew on their inner strength and produced two days of performances that Madiba, and the entire country could be proud of.

AND THEN

Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla both shared centuries before four wickets from Lonwabo Tsotsobe helped the Proteas take an unassailable 2-0 series lead against India with a comprehensive 134-run victory in the second one-day international in Durban on Sunday.
