5 reasons why Bafana fail

Few points to ponder

1. Development structures are not doing well. SA not represented in the last editions of the U-20 and U -17 on the continent. take a llook at  the rugby U-20 in SA are doing weel . This creates a pool of players for the rugby teams.
2. Talent pool is limited due to the controversial policy of only South Africans need to play in Bafana Bafana. no other spoting code and country has that policy. it should be purely talent and skill. Few exapmles: Greatest  soccer player to come out of Portugal Eusebio was born in Maputo mozambique, French won SWC with mostly immigtants Zidane ( Algeria) and Desailley born Jonathan Abbey in Accra ,Ghana, Mario balotelli Ghana just scored for Italy in the Confed Cup in Brazil, dos Santos of mexico his father played for brazil in SWC 1970., rugby and cricket has many examples even Kevin pietersen helping the English and the beast from Zimbabwe . There are numerous exaples in all other sporting codes. SA has the biggest concentration of migrant population in Afrivca hence thepool should be widem but unfortuanately the exclusivity  for only SA citizens is not helping. It is a controversial topic but the fact. Other countries are not playing with the same rules as SA plays ,so always you will be disadvantaged in soccer. The diasporan population of other African countires are growing so they will always have a huge pool pf players who are better trained and skilled. look at mali, Cote D'ivoire and even Kevin Prince Boateng of ghana
3. Soccer players are mostly from jburg and Pretoria teams. You need to develop the game in such a way that the pool is wide interms of the whole country. It might be a challenge but it needs to be considered.
4. Need the soccer teams to be performing consistently well in Africa if we don't have our top players playing in the top leagues and clubs in Europe. The Tunisians, Egyptinas are an example in Africa and the west africans have most of the top players in Europe.
5. SAFA needs to participate in COSAFA tournaments  and align the league season to the CAF calendar and the number of competitions played by PL is too much.

These are some of the reasons  .Time is not on our side.
