Van der Westhuizen took the challenge at his home in Dainfern this week - and challenge the "Springboks, All Blacks and Wallabies" to do likewise.

To their credit, the Wallabies, through scrumhalf Nic White, were the first to respond, before All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw suggested his team would be likewise.

The Springboks, currently in Salta preparing for their Rugby Championship Test against Argentina on Saturday (kick-off at 21:40 SA time), found the time after practice to respond to the challenge.

Coach Heyneke Meyer was the "willing" recipient of the icy shower, courtesy of locks Eben Etzebeth and Bakkies Botha.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
