Rosberg 'can' be friends with Hamilton one day

Cape Town - Nico Rosberg reckons he can be friends with Lewis Hamilton one day in the future but admits they're not at that point yet.

Although the former team-mates were friendships in their early racing days, their intra-teams battles at Mercedes put paid to that.

Mind games off the track and clashes on it meant Rosberg and Hamilton were anything but friends when the German hang up his helmet.

Rosberg, though, reckons they could rekindle it down the line.

"We were very good friends in the past," he told the German broadcaster ZDF.

"It can happen again in the future. We're not rivals anymore, I'm completely out of it, so I don't see why we could not get along well after some time."

But, he added, "We're not at that point yet."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
