Cape Town - Nico Rosberg has refuted Toto Wolff's claim that he could one day be back in Formula 1, adamant that he has F1 career is over.

Rosberg left the sport just five days after winning the 2016 World title.

But at just 31 years of age, his former team boss says he wouldn't be surprised if the German "reappears in a Ferrari or somewhere else."

Rosberg, though, insists he is done with F1 racing.

"No, I really have finished my career," he told Germany's Sport Bild.

"I am happy and proud of the results and the successes I have had. It fulfils me a lot.

"But it's now in the past, and I'm going to do new things."
