Cape Town - GP3 driver Jack Aitken will have his first opportunity to test a Formula 1 car when he takes to the Jerez circuit in a E20 later this week.
The Renault Sport Academy driver, who is currently second in the GP3 series with two rounds remaining, will spend a day in the E20 learning the Formula 1 ropes.
"I’m hugely grateful to Renault Sport and the Academy for giving me this opportunity, my first ever run in a Formula 1 car," said Aitken.
"I know Jerez from racing there in Formula Renault so I’m looking forward to getting comfortable in the E20 and really having some fun."
Aitken joined the Renault Sport Academy at the start of the 2016 season.
