Cape Town - Not that anyone expected it to be any different but Esteban Ocon has announced that he'll stay on at Force India next season.

The Frenchman has been one of the stars in this year's championship, his first full season in the sport.

He has scored 56 points, finishing inside the top-ten in 13 of 14 races, and has been half of the one of the best driver rivalries of this season - his team-mate Sergio Perez making up the other half.

Formula 1 fans can look forward to more of the same next season after Force India confirmed Perez in a one-year deal with Ocon announcing that he too will be with the team in 2018.

"It's official, and I can say that I'm very happy to stay with Force India for 2018," he tweeted.
