Paris - South African Brad Binder riding for KTM won Sunday's season-ending Moto3 class race in Valencia.
The world champion landed his seventh win of the campaign as he saw off Spaniard Joan Mir and Italian Andrea Migno, also of KTM.
Italian Enea Bastianini secured second spot in the season rankings after placing fourth on a Honda.
Jorge Lorenzo of Spain was meanwhile starting from pole position in MotoGP in Valencia after setting a new track record in qualifying on Saturday for his Yamaha swansong.
Compatriot Marc Marquez of Honda had long since wrapped up his third world title with three races to spare.
