Cape Town - The 118th US Open ended at Shinnecock Hills in New York on Sunday.

There were SIX South Africans in the 156-man field, however only THREE made the weekend cut - Branden Grace, Louis Oosthuizen and Dean Burmester.

The last US Open to be played at Shinnecock Hills back in 2004 was won by Retief Goosen.
