Eikenhof - The second round of the 96th edition of the Eye of Africa PGA Championship was suspended due to dangerous weather on Friday but not before Trevor Fisher Jnr carded a 68 to back up his opening 66 to get to 10-under at Eye of Africa Signature Golf Estate.
After a lengthy wait, play was eventually called off for the day and the second round is set to resume at 06:50 on Saturday.
Fisher is currently sitting at the summit of the leaderboard after yet another solid showing, and currently leads by one for the week. Hot on his heels is the resurgent Jacques Blaauw whose near-perfect round of 67 left him trailing by a single shot as he finished his round five-under.
Teaghan Gauche is the only one of the three players occupying third spot who finished his round, after he signed for a blemish-free six-under-par which took his total to seven-under-par for the week. He shares that spot with Bennie van der Merwe and Daniel Greene, who are among those who are yet to finish the round.
Louis de Jager and the defending Matias Calderon are on six-under for the tournament and trail by three.
The second round will see those who didn’t finish commence from where they left off while the third round will not start until 10:30.
