Sun City Round 1 draw out

Cape Town - Miguel Angel Jimenez, Tim Clark and Shane Lowry will get the 2014 Nedbank Golf Challenge underway on Thursday in Sun City.

Round 1 of "Africa's major" gets underway from 10:10 on Thursday morning as 30 of the world's top golfers go in search of the lucrative winners' cheque of $1.25 million.

Lion of Africa Cape Town Open winner, Jaco Ahlers, is set to tee off for the first time at the event in the second group (10:21) safe in the knowledge that $100 000 is the least he can earn for his performance at the Gary Player Country Club.

The group of the day features South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen alongside England's Lee Westwood and Germany's Martin Kaymer.

With crowds expected to pour onto the course on Thursday, defending champion Thomas Bjorn is part of the last group to tee off at 11.49. Bjorn will be joined by South African hopeful Charl Schwartzel and Englishman Luke Donald.
