Stenson off to Sun City

Cape Town - Henrik Stenson and US Open champion Justin Rose have been confirmed in an expanded 30-man field for the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa in December.

Their participation was announced on Thursday by organizers.

FedEx Cup winner and No. 4-ranked Stenson of Sweden, the European Tour's Race to Dubai leader, has played the Nedbank four times and won in 2008. No. 5-ranked Rose of England played last year, finishing 11th out of 12, then won his first major in June.

The Nedbank will have a bigger purse of $6.5 million, with the winner still collecting $1.25 million at the Sun City resort.

The December 5-8 tournament has been increased from a 12-man field and will count toward world ranking and Ryder Cup points and the Race to Dubai money list.
